Emily Reason

As Liam’s big sister, Emily Reason’s mission with the Liam Foundation is deeply personal. Alongside her dad, she is dedicated to raising awareness, driving research forward, and helping find a cure for mitochondrial disease.

From the beginning, Emily has helped bring Liam’s story to the world by creating the first GoFundMe campaign and designing and selling the foundation’s first T-shirts. These early efforts sparked the idea that Liam’s story could reach more people and inspire support far beyond their community.

One of Emily’s most recognized contributions has been partnering with the rock band Disturbed to share Liam’s story, reaching over one million views and bringing his journey to a much wider audience.

She also plays an active role in the Liam Foundation’s Annual Chris Nilan Golf Tournament, one of the foundation’s largest fundraising events, which brings together an incredible community to support its mission.

Emily’s commitment to Liam and the foundation continues to grow, and she is now preparing to relocate to Ireland to lead the foundation’s expansion there. This next chapter is an opportunity to build new relationships, raise awareness internationally, and bring more people into the mission.

For Emily, this is more than a cause it is her little brother, her family, and a promise to keep fighting for a cure.
